Terms and Conditions

The agreement between you and CompareAML — covering what we do, what we don't, and our commercial relationships.

Last updated: 17 May 2026

1. About CompareAML

CompareAML is operated by The AML Intelligence Network Pty Ltd (ABN 44 696 407 600) ("we", "us", "our"). CompareAML is an independent lead generation marketplace and comparison platform that helps businesses understand their obligations under Australia's anti-money laundering and counter-terrorism financing (AML/CTF) laws, and connect with third-party AML compliance solution providers.

CompareAML is not a financial services licensee, a registered AML/CTF compliance adviser, a legal practitioner, or a consulting firm. We do not provide legal, financial, regulatory, or compliance advice of any kind.

2. Who These Terms Apply To

These Terms apply to all visitors and registered users of compareaml.com.au, including businesses seeking AML compliance solutions ("Users") and AML solution providers listed on the platform ("Vendors").

By accessing or using CompareAML, you agree to these Terms. If you are accessing CompareAML on behalf of a business, you confirm you have authority to bind that business to these Terms.

3. What CompareAML Does (and Doesn't Do)

CompareAML operates as an independent marketplace and information platform. We:

  • Display and categorise AML compliance solution providers to help businesses identify potential vendors
  • Facilitate introductions between businesses and AML vendors (lead referral)
  • Publish general information, guides, and resources about AML/CTF compliance obligations in Australia
  • Earn referral fees, commissions, or listing fees from Vendors when a referral results in a commercial relationship

We do not:

  • Independently verify, audit, or certify any Vendor or its services
  • Guarantee that any listed Vendor will meet your specific regulatory obligations
  • Provide legal, financial, tax, or compliance advice
  • Act as an intermediary in any contractual relationship between you and a Vendor
  • Make representations about the suitability of any Vendor for your particular business or risk profile

4. Commercial Relationships and Paid Listings

Important disclosure: CompareAML receives commercial consideration from Vendors listed on this platform. This may take the form of:

  • Pay-per-lead fees (charged to Vendors when a User enquiry is referred)
  • Commission arrangements (a percentage of the contract value between a Vendor and User)
  • Trailing commissions over the life of a Vendor-User relationship
  • Paid listing or featured placement fees

The existence of a commercial relationship with a Vendor does not mean we endorse or recommend that Vendor above others. However, Vendor placement, prominence, or featured status on this platform may be influenced by commercial arrangements. Where placement is commercially influenced, this will be indicated with a "Featured" or "Sponsored" label.

Users should conduct their own due diligence before engaging any Vendor.

5. Information Accuracy and Limitations

The information on CompareAML is provided in good faith and is intended to be general in nature. It reflects our understanding of the AML/CTF regulatory landscape as at the date of publication. However:

  • AML/CTF laws and AUSTRAC requirements change. Nothing on this platform should be treated as current legal guidance.
  • Vendor information (including pricing, features, certifications, and service descriptions) is provided by Vendors themselves. We do not independently verify this information.
  • The AML/CTF Amendment Act 2024 and associated Tranche 2 reforms (effective 1 July 2026) represent significant changes to Australia's regulatory landscape. Obligations vary by industry, business type, and designated service. You should obtain specific legal advice about your obligations.
  • CompareAML content is not a substitute for advice from a qualified AML compliance professional or legal practitioner.

6. No Endorsement or Warranty

Listing on CompareAML does not constitute endorsement, certification, or approval of any Vendor by The AML Intelligence Network Pty Ltd, AUSTRAC, or any other regulatory body. We make no representations or warranties (express or implied) about:

  • The accuracy, completeness, or fitness for purpose of Vendor information
  • A Vendor's ability to assist your business meet its AML/CTF obligations
  • Outcomes resulting from engaging a listed Vendor

To the extent permitted by law, we exclude all implied warranties and conditions.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Australian Consumer Law and applicable legislation:

  • We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your reliance on information published on CompareAML
  • We are not liable for the acts, omissions, services, or representations of any Vendor
  • We are not liable for any regulatory penalties, fines, or findings made against your business by AUSTRAC or any other regulator
  • Our total liability to you in connection with your use of CompareAML will not exceed the amount, if any, paid by you to us in the 12 months preceding the claim

Nothing in these Terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law where those rights cannot be excluded.

8. User Conduct and Data

When you submit an enquiry or register on CompareAML, you consent to us sharing your contact details and business information with one or more Vendors relevant to your enquiry, for the purpose of those Vendors contacting you directly about their services.

By submitting your details, you confirm:

  • The information you provide is accurate and relates to a genuine business enquiry
  • You consent to being contacted by Vendors via the contact details you provide
  • You have read and agree to our Privacy Policy

We will not sell your personal information to third parties other than for the purposes described above and in our Privacy Policy.
