CompareAML is built by people who run AML programs for a living. Privacy and data protection are core to how we operate, not an afterthought.
AML Intelligence Network Pty Ltd (ABN 44 696 407 600) ("CompareAML", "we", "us") is committed to protecting your personal information. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices and rights you have. It is written to be read — not buried.
1. What we collect
We collect business contact details you submit through our forms — name, email, business sector, and optional notes about your business. We also collect basic technical information (device, browser, referring URL) for analytics and abuse prevention.
2. Why we collect it
To match your business with vetted Australian AML compliance providers, send the matching outcome by email, and improve the service. We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for unrelated marketing.
4. How we store it
Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Production systems are hosted in Australian data-centre regions. Access is restricted to a small number of named CompareAML personnel.
5. How long we keep it
We retain matching records for as long as necessary to support you and to meet our own legal and accounting obligations (typically up to 7 years). You can request deletion of your personal data at any time, subject to those obligations.
6. Your rights
Under the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles, you can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information held by CompareAML. To make a request, email privacy@compareaml.com.au.
8. Complaints
If you believe we have mishandled your information, please contact us first at privacy@compareaml.com.au. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version and last-updated date are always available on this page.
